- Stampin' Up! 2-Way Glue Pen (PN 100425, $3.50)
- The Paper Cutter (PN 104152, $24.95)
Step 1 - Cut an 8-1/2" x 11" piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock in half creating two pieces of 4-1/4" x 11".
Step 2 - Fold card in half using the Perfect Crisp Fold Instructions.
Step 3 - Cut a piece of the stripped Afternoon Tea Designer Paper into a 4-1/4" by 5-1/2" as shown below. Ensure that the strips run length wise along the 5-1/2" length.
Step 4 - About 1" from the bottom of the Afternoon Tea Designer Paper, wrap the paper with the Chocolate Chip Ribbon. To help keep the ribbon in place, glue it to the back of the paper as shown below.
Turn the paper over and tie a knot or bow on the cover, whichever you prefer. Once the knot or bow is tied to your liking, a clip a paper-clip type embellishment from the Hodgepodge Hardware to the ribbon.
Step 5 - Using the 2-way glue pen, glue the Afternoon Tea Designer Paper onto the front cover of the Very Vanilla folded cardstock.
Step 6 - Unfold the card ensuring the cover is facing up. Place it in your Paper Cutter as shown.
Step 7 - Align top left corner of the cardstock with the 4-1/2" (4.5") mark. The reference mark is shown in the picture below. This will place your first slit, 1" from the top of the card.
Step 8 - Use the brown lines on the Afternoon Tea paper as the start and stop points for making the first and second slits.
Align the arrow on the cutting blade with the 3rd brown stripe in the picture above. The actual measurement is 1" from the inside cover or 6.5" on the ruler on the right of the cutting blade. If you would prefer to make a "Peek-A-Boo!" window based on dimensions, please check out the "Peek-A-Boo!" Window Tutorial by clicking the underline text.
Once the cutter is properly aligned, press the cutter down to pierce the paper and pull it towards you until you reach the 6th brown line or 8-1/2" mark on the right side of the cutting blade.
Lift the cutting blade up and out of the paper. Slide the card stock to the right and align the top left edge of the cardstock with the 2-1/2" (2.5") mark on the top of the paper cutter or see the picture below.
Again, align the arrow on the cutting blade with the 3rd brown stripe in the picture above. The actual measurement is 1" from the inside cover edge or 6.5" on the ruler on the right of the cutting blade.
Once the cutter is properly aligned, press the cutter down to pierce the paper and pull it towards you until you reach the 6th brown line or 8-1/2" mark on the right side of the cutting blade.
Lift the cutting blade up and out of the paper and rotate the cardstock 90° for the 3rd and final cut. Align the top left hand corner of the cardstock with the 6-1/2" mark along the top of the paper cutter.
For cutting the last slit, it is best to use the slits rather than measurements for cutting guides. Once you have aligned the arrows on the cutting blade with the first slit, press the cutting blade down to pierce the paper. Drag the blade slowly towards you. STOP when the arrows on the cutting blade align with the bottom slit.
Step 9 - Scoring the windows.
Lift the cutting blade up and out of the paper. If you have a scoring blade, replace the cutting blade with the scoring blade. If not, "No worries", just remove the cutting blade. Instructions for using the Bone Folder will also be given for those without scoring blades.
Turn the cardstock over and place it in the paper cutter with the cover face down, as shown below. Align the right slide of the slits for the window with the cutting blade groove. Score a line using the bone folder or scoring blade between the 2 slits. Slide the cardstock to the left and align the left side of the window slits. Score a line using the bone folder or scoring blade between the 2 slits.
The "Peek-a-Boo" window is complete!!!! Great Job, now let's make a frame for your window!
Step 9 - Frame your window!
Cut the 12" x 1/4" Chocolate Chip cardstock into 2 - 3" and 2 - 2-1/4" strips. Using the 2-way glue, glue the 3" strips alone the top & bottom of the window. Using the 2-way glue, glue the remaining strips on the left and right side. If you have any excess glue, use the adhesive remover to rub it off AFTER the glue dries.
Step 10 - Knobs!
Using your Crop-A-Dile or other hole punch, punch two holes in the excess Chocolate Chip strips. Apply 2-way glue to the punched out holes and place on the windows as desired.
Excellent tutorial!

Fantastic Peek-A-Boo Window tutorials! Great job! Thanks for taking the time and putting in the effort to create these - in all my years as a stamper, I've never made one of these, but I'm going to now!
